Today's design is a cute Bleach anime inspired look. It features a mint background with brown Asian windows stamped on and Ichigo Kurosaki and Rukia Kuchiki mini stamps. The breakdown of materials used were as follows: The green background was applied with Zoya Dillon and the brown Asian windows are stamped on in Zoya Cinnamon using Winstonia stamping plate W319. Ichigo and Rukia are stamped on with My Online Shop stamping plate JR-26 using PUEEN Super Intense Black Jack. The colors were painted in using a dotting tool and the colors used were Zoya Ember for Rukia's shirt, Zoya Kitridge for Ichigo and Rukia's faces, Zoya Amy for Ichigo's hair, Zoya Trixie for Ichigo's Bankai. The top coat is Zoya Armor. I added the top coat after taking the pictures to cut down on the glare a bit. A top coat is important because when you fill in the pictures with the dotting tool, you create a decal by painting a couple top coats over it to create a solid piece on your stamper. Then you remove the decal with tweezers and line it up on your nail. Painting the nail with a final top coat will seal the whole design in and make it seem smoother. The top coat also makes the colors brighter underneath. Some people add a top coat before adding the dried decal. I don't do this because I may need to re-position it and if it's stuck it's too late to move it. Once its in the right place you pat it down and smooth the air bubbles out. Paint the clear top coat on to make sure it stays.
This design is inspired by the movie The Matrix starring Keanu Reeves from 1999. The beginning of the film, as you may recall, had a dark background with green characters falling down the screen. I inadvertently stamped the binary on upside down, but it still turned out pretty nice and is very reminiscent of the movie. My thumb has a computer keyboard which reminds you of Neo inputting code into his PC. I used Zoya Anchor for the base coat because dark polishes will stain fingernails. The next layer is Zoya Raven. Four of my fingers are stamped with PUEEN Super Intense Amazon Moss with the Bundle Monster BM-415 plate and the thumb is stamped with PUEEN Super Intense Pure White with the My Online Shop MJ XXI stamping plate. I finished this look with a Zoya Armor top coat.
Last night I decided to polish my nails again. This time I wanted an all over design that was subtler. The effect from this particular stamping plate gives your nails an almost color changing ability. From one angle they're a bright royal blue with a black lace pattern and from another angle they seem to turn black. For the base shade I used Zoya Estelle. For the stamped lace design I used stamping plate BC-05 from the Kingfashion plate set. The image I used is the second lace pattern on the top left of the plate. The stamping black polish is Black Jack from PUEEN and the top coat is Zoya Armor. Putting the top coat on is very important because this stamping polish is a bit on the matte side as far as sheen goes. Painting the top coat also gives the design an almost 3D effect with a color changing ability when you turn your nails. It looks truly amazing closeup and I recommend trying it if you want to deepen any shade of polish with a dark lace pattern. I don't recommend trying a metallic stamping polish with this because the design is so fine that the image doesn't transfer well and I always use my BMC squishy jumbo stamper for these finely detailed patterns since it always picks up every design well.
Today I made an ombre sponged design in purple, green and pink over a white background. The colors used were Zoya Hudson, Zoya Dillon, Zoya Kitridge, over a Zoya Purity base coat. The stamped design is from Winstonia plate W318 utilizing the PUEEN Super Intense Black Jack stamping polish. It's topped with Zoya Armor to seal in the design.
This neat circuit board design utilizes the Winstonia Third Generation plates. These plates are very easy to stamp with. I used plate W317 from the set. A white base coat under the green made this dark green color lighter. The green nail polish is Zoya Giovanna over the white Zoya Purity with Pueen Rocking Metallic Hathaway Gold for the stamped design. The black sections of the board design were painted in with a fine nail art brush using Zoya Raven polish. The top coat is Zoya Armor to add gloss and seal it. All the polishes I use are 5FREE formulas which makes them much healthier for you to use. The stamper I used is the BMC Semi Squishy Silicone Mega Stamper which makes stamping super easy. Be sure scrape fast at a 45 degree angle and press lightly to pick up the whole design. It's an awesome pattern filled with little circuit board components which made this design a lot of fun to make.
